Hip pain is mostly in the hip joint on the inside of the hip or groin area. Pain that is on the outside like the upper thigh or the outer buttock is usually caused by any ailments that are dealing with the muscles, ligaments, tendons and the soft tissues that are surrounding the hip joint.
