Clinical Case Series: Clinical Case Series is the most basic type of study design, in which researchers describe the experience of a group of people and describe individuals who develop a particular new disease or condition. This type of study can provide compelling, captivating reading because they present a detailed account of the clinical experience of individual study subjects. Many local healthcare professionals have conducted their own case series studies.
Case-Series is a descriptive study design and being just a series of cases of any particular disease or disease discrepancy that one might observe in a clinical practice. These cases are described to suggest at best a hypothesis, however, there is no comparison group. So without it, there cannot be many conclusions about the disease or the disease process. Therefore, in terms of generating evidence regarding various aspects of a disease process, this is more of a starting point to get someone informed.
