Detoxification:  Since it is practiced all around the world, detoxification is about resting, cleansing, and nourishing the body from the inside out by a process of removing and eliminating toxins. By feeding the body with healthy nutrients, detoxifying can help protect the body from disease and renew a person’s ability to maintain optimum health through a range of methods including chiropractic, meditation, and much more.  Detoxification also means cleansing the blood and this is done by removing blood impurities in the liver, where toxins are processed for elimination. The body also eliminates toxins through the kidneys, intestines, lungs, lymphatic system, and skin. However, when these systems are compromised and the impurities aren’t properly filtered out then the body’s health becomes dysfunctional causing harm. Everyone should detox at least once a year; however, detoxing for nursing mothers, children, and patients with chronic degenerative diseases should consult their doctor before starting a detoxing program. By consulting with a healthcare provider if anyone has questions about detoxing is highly important. But in today’s world, there are more toxins in the environment than ever.
