Stress And Anxiety: Many people experience stress and anxiety from time to time. Stress is defined as any demand placed on the brain or physical body. People can report feeling stressed with multiple demands that are being placed on them. It can be triggered by an event that makes anyone feel frustrated or nervous. While Anxiety is defined as a feeling of fear, worry, or unease and this can be a reaction. Surprisingly though, it can also happen in people who are unable to identify significant stressors and are not sure of what to do.

However, stress and anxiety are not always bad. In fact, they can help anyone overcome challenges or dangerous situations. For example, when a person is feeling worried about finding a job, feeling nervous before a big test, or being embarrassed in certain social situations, this is known as acute stress and it is an everyday thing. If there was no anxiety in a person, then there would be no motivation to do certain things that need to be done like studying for a big test.

However, if stress and anxiety start to interfere with one’s daily life, it may indicate to be a much more serious issue. If a person is avoiding situations due to irrational fears, constantly worrying, or experiencing severe anxiety about traumatic event/s weeks after it happened, it may be time to seek help as this is chronic stress and can cause the body to dysfunction.
