Low back pain is something no one wants to experience. Constant low back pain can start to influence everyday life and activities. When low back starts to take over, it can make it hard to enjoy the simpilar things in life. With this being said, David Garcia has first-hand experience with low back pain. He works as a maintenance person and is required to do a lot of bending and picking up heavy items. He recalls that his back pain has been ongoing for about two years. Eventually, it got to a point where it was painful to tie his shoes or bend down to put on his pants. David Garcia had heard about Dr. Jimenez through his sister who had previously gotten treatment. David Garcia came in to see Dr. Jimenez and he started to notice a difference instantly. David Garcia is on his third appointment with Dr. Jimenez and his pain is not completely gone but he states that it is so much better. At a time while dealing with his lumbar pain, he was not able to walk long distances without taking breaks. Even sitting for long periods of time would start to aggravate him. Now, he is able to perform his daily job duties more efficiently and does not have to take breaks. Dr. Jimenez takes time with his patients and focuses his care around them. He takes the time to explain to his patients what is happening and details about their injury and the treatment they will have and how it will help them. Part of the treatment David Garcia received is a medical massage performed by a licensed massage therapist that will loosen up the muscles and promote blood flow and healing to the area. Dr. Jimenez makes sure his patients have the highest standard of care. -Kenna Vaughn, Senior Health Coach
[00:00:18] My name is David Garcia. I’m 56 years old and I have a daughter. She’s 22. Going to college. She’s almost graduating this year. And I’m very proud of her. I worked for Region 19. I work as I maintenance sort of facility person there. I do ground. I do maintenance repairing doors. The thing is that there are different schools.
[00:00:49] I can explain it better. Region 19 Headstart is a program for lower-income families and we have different sites, so we have 32 sites. And where I’m at is where the administration and two small schools where children from zero to four years old. They go there. The pain in my lower back has affected me a lot. Everywhere, like the basic things like putting on my shorts, my pants, tying up my shoes, getting into the car.
[00:01:24] I go to walking and sometimes I have to stop. And I walk a long distance, even when I’m sitting down, too. It gets painful. In my daily life it just, It’s painful. Just doing little things. I heard about Dr. Jimenez through my sister. And she came to visit him. She recommended him. And he was. She said he was great to her and she had helped her a lot. It’s been two years since I have this pain on and off.
[00:01:59] It hasn’t gone away. Sometimes it’s worse sometimes its light. But through those two years, it’s gotten worse. And that’s when I had to see this Dr. Jimenez. Dr. Jimenez has helped me a lot. He has . The pain is less, it’s not painful. It’s great. My back was able to loosen up and start to walk better. And the pain has gone not completely, but it’s on its way.
[00:02:35] It’s I think it’s helped me tremendously. Where I couldn’t bend at times. And now I can easily bend down and stretch. The sessions that I’ve been here every time it’s helped a lot. This is my third session to see Dr. Jimenez and he’s the best at talking to me about what is my problem. What I have to work on and for me to help myself on a daily basis. What I need to do, plus the work he does on me, the movements and the stretching and massages that he has provided for me.
[00:03:15] It’s helped tremendously. Oh yes. So I recommend Dr. Jimenez. He’s a great doctor. He’s become communicated very well with the patients. He tries to help you wherever you need it in every way.
[00:03:29] And I do recommend him. Well, I like to say about the staff, good things. They do great job presenting a situation with the insurance and explain to you what the process and what you’re going to go through.
[00:03:51] And it’s helped a lot. It’s made it easy.
