Daniel Alvarado is the owner of PUSH fitness in El Paso, Texas. He has a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and uses his body every day at work to train and lead others. With this being said, his body’s health is extremely important to him. A discomfort in the upper body or shoulder region can really put a damper on his day and cause him to not be able to work to his fullest extent. Coming from an educated background in fitness and health, Daniel Alvarado really appreciates how Dr. Jimenez takes the time to explain what is occurring in the body and breaks down the anatomy and physiology of an injury. This not only shows that Dr. Jimenez is educated when it comes to treating patients and athletes but also that he cares about his patients and wants them to fully understand what is happening in their body. Dr. Jimenez was able to find that the source for Daniel Alvarado’s pain was not the shoulder itself, but rather a misplaced upper rib. A chiropractic adjustment was able to realign the rib and when Daniel Alvarado feels some type of pain, he always comes back to Dr. Jimenez. Another aspect of treatment that keeps Daniel coming back is the relationship Dr. Jimenez builds with his patients. On top of explaining everything to the patient, Dr. Jimenez makes a connection to each individual. It is important to Dr. Jimenez that his patients trust him and feel comfortable enough to ask any questions they may have. Healing and treatment is not all physical, but a large aspect is mental as well. Dr. Jimenez is sure to make his patients satisfied and never leaves them without an answer. Daniel Alvarado knows first hand how injuries can slow you down and he does not let it stop him. -Kenna Vaughn, Senior Health Coach
[00:00:08] Hi, my name is Daniel Alvarado. I’m the owner of PUSH fitness. Initially, I went to go visit them just because my upper shoulder area is mimicking shoulder pain. It was actually a depressed rib on my upper rib cage, so he aligned me so I can ensure that my shoulders weren’t off balance anymore. As we go out through our daily activities, texting and or lifting on the bar, we can overcompensate on one area or the other and get out of alignment. It gets really frustrating and annoying. It’s someone kind of just hitting the top of your forehead constantly all day long.
[00:00:46] It’s frustrating, annoying. So it’s kind of hard to stay productive, be creative when you’re constantly nagging or that type of pain. This shows up for a couple of months and once I started seeing them regularly, it kind of went way. Kind of realigned the spine and the shoulder and supraspinatus strengthed and my upper back. He showed me where my latissimus dorsi was uneven or overdeveloped and where I needed to work on. And it’s been getting better since. Yeah, I’d recommend 100 percent. It takes the time to explain all the anatomy and physiology aspect behind my injury, what I can do to prevent it and how I can strengthen it. He breaks it down in depth so I can feel a closer relationship with him as opposed to just being popped and get in and out. He argues the relationship that you’re looking for so you can freely ask any other questions that you might have. Yeah, I definitely recommend Dr. Jimenez. He’s great, he’s personable. He takes that time to develop a great relationship with you and yeah, the more that I’m here, I recommend him to anybody.
