Migraines are recurring headaches that occur on one side of the head. The symptoms can be painful and cause a throbbing or pulsing sensation that can range from moderate to severe pain to the person. Migraine symptoms can last between 2 to 72 hours causing a person to experience visual disturbances, pain, nausea, and sensitivity to light, noise or odor as some of the symptoms. For Damaris Foreman, she talks about how her migraine symptoms affected her daily physical activity until she found the relief she was looking for. In this heartfelt testimony, Damaris talked about how she had experienced migraine headaches for about 23 years and how it affected her overall health and wellness. She explained how her migraines were so intense that even waking up and doing everyday activities were challenging enough. Damaris mentioned how after years and years of visiting many healthcare professionals for her migraines and not seeing any progress being done, she was finally advised to try chiropractic care. Damaris visited Dr. Jimenez and after one adjustment, she found the relief that she was looking for. Through careful manual manipulation and spinal adjustment, Damaris experienced a great sense of relief as she woke up the next morning, feeling much better and not waking up with a constant headache. Chiropractic care is a safe, non-surgical, effective alternative treatment option that manipulates the musculoskeletal system by releasing the trapped bubbles from the joints causing them to pop, causing relief to the body. Chiropractic care can help anyone who has migraine symptoms like Damaris and other health conditions that causes discomfort to them. Damaris also mentioned how chiropractic care has changed her life and clarified the misconceptions of chiropractic care. She recommends everyone who is a bit skeptical about chiropractic care to at least give it a try even if they don’t have migraine symptoms.
[00:00:19] My name is Damaris Foreman. I actually heard that chiropractic care would be very positive way to treat my migraines.
[00:00:30] So I went online and I looked and I find most of the information. I have suffered with migraines for about 23 years now and I’ve been through several different treatment plans from nerve blocks to different types of medication to just pretty much everything.
[00:00:47] And so then you know, my doctor, my neurologist told me to see chiropractic care and they would actually help. It would be beneficial for me. So I did. I saw Dr. Jimenez and I’m actually relieved, a tremendous relief of the pain that I used to suffer. I used to suffer with migraines for about a week, week and a half at a time with just one single migraine. So definitely chiropractic care, the adjustments have really helped relieve a lot of that pain that I used to suffer from.
[00:01:15] I was very surprised that just a simple adjustment and a realignment of our spine could have such benefits. You know, I always thought everybody’s telling you know popping your bones is bad for you, and, you know, it’s actually been the opposite experience, I’ve had a great experience, you know, doing my adjustments. It’s helped a lot.
[00:01:39] Most definitely. Like I said, after 23 years of suffering with migraines and being through different treatments, different medications, different supplements, I would definitely recommend someone to try, you know, having a chiropractic care to help relieve a lot of that tension that we do suffer from a day to day basis.
[00:02:01] I can just say, you know, a lot of people have different opinions on the different doctors, different therapies. I was pretty much one of those. I was the type of person that I would go see different doctors just to have the relief from the everyday pain that I would suffer. And I was very skeptical at first. And of course, I’m sure a lot of people are like that. So I definitely would suggest, you know, just give it a try. You know, especially if you’ve done different supplements, different treatments. You know, chiropractic care has really done a great job for me and I’ve seen a lot of relief. So I would definitely recommend somebody to see chiropractic care and come see Dr. Jimenez.
[00:02:43] You know, he’s an awesome doctor. He’s very positive, very educational. He gives you a lot of information, especially me, a lot of information that I thought that I knew that I had a misconception about. He’s actually clarified a lot for me. And he’s like I said, he’s very educational. He helps you a lot and will provide it. You know, the best treatment that I’ve gotten so far.
[00:03:08] Well, the effects of a migraine. I started getting them again. Twenty-three years ago with a newborn baby. So that was never easy. Anyway, you know, a newborn baby, first child, I was, you know, learning how to deal with certain things and having a migraine just made life very much harder. In a sense, I do have three kids. And so through the years, they’ve progressively had gotten worse. And I was a full-time student. I was a mother. I worked and I still had that migraine pain.
[00:03:40] So it was very hard to focus on my daily activities. Just, you know, being there for my children and being a mother, you know, giving them that playtime. It wasn’t there because it really affected me in the sense that it was a lot of light sensitivity. There was a lot of nausea that I just didn’t want to be bothered. I wanted to be in a dark room. And so it really affected me a lot. You know, I feel that if I would seek treatment a lot sooner, I would have been able to enjoy the little things that we so much take for granted.
[00:04:17] So, you know. Having migraines, if anybody has ever suffered, even from the smallest migraine, you’ll know that it’s nothing to play with. And so on a day to day basis, you know, you kind of learn to deal with it. But we shouldn’t have to suffer with it when there’s relief for it. When I first got my first treatment with Dr. Jimenez, I did come in with a slight headache.
[00:04:46] The day of my treatment, I kind of did feel a little off just because it was something new for me. But later that afternoon, you know, I instantly feel like my neck got taller, like a little accordion just got, you know, pulled apart? And so later that afternoon, you know, I started feeling relieved to where the next morning when I woke up and waking up every morning with a migraine was normal. So when I woke up after my first treatment the next day, I kind of had to pause there for a minute and think, wait, am I really awake?
[00:05:28] Because it was a morning that I was able to wake up and not have a migraine. It was a different feeling that I hadn’t felt in many, many years. So I would say it was immediately after treatment, but it by the next day I felt a big difference.
[00:05:46] I would definitely recommend Dr. Jimenez, not just for migraines, but any type of injury that you might have sustained. I have again, I have three children and my kids, you know, have been athletes. My daughter has actually seen Dr. Jimenez for, you know, her athletic treatments, you know, her track.
[00:06:07] So I most definitely would recommend Dr. Jimenez again, not just for migraines, but any type of injuries or just for day to day maintenance that are we put our bodies through.
